Summer BBQ – Recipe

Hot Onion Dip

This dip has been served at my family functions for years. It’s simple to make and full of flavor. Many times, guests who don’t like onions will try it, and love it! The onions aren’t as pungent since they’re cooked, and the cheesy flavors blend together to make a tasty medley. Did I mention that there are no calories in this either? Just kidding.

Ingredients:

8 oz. cream cheese;  1 large yellow onion; 6 oz. shredded Swiss cheese; 1-cup mayonnaise; ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

*Serve with chips of choice

Directions:

Set the oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all ingredients with a hand-held mixer, except for Parmesan cheese. Spread mixture in a shallow pie-sized pan that is oven-safe. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden-brown and bubbly on top. Serve with chips of choice!
